About Mike Patel

Making Indians proud with his accomplishments since a very young age, Mike Patel has become the idol for many. His parents had moved to Uganda, where Mike was born. Later, they moved to London where Mike graduated from London School of Business.

The Early Years
It was in London that he took an active interest in soccer and played in English Premier League Club Matches besides other such prestigious titles. It was in 1981 when he moved to the States and played for the Atlanta Chiefs.
It was here that he became a hotelier of the Diplomat hospitality Group. By 1989, he became Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA).

His Major Accomplishments
In 2001, after the earthquake ravaged the state of Gujarat, India, Milan Patel had joined the then President of the USA, Bill Clinton as a part of his Clinton Foundation's Global Initiatives to raise funds. Later in 2007, the British Prime Minister Tony Blair bestowed him with the “Award for International Cooperation” between the United Kingdom and the United States of America. He is also the proud recipient of the “Ellis Island Medal Of Honor in 2008.” Currently, he is part of the “Realizing the Dream Inc.,” a non-profit organization.
